The Kitchen
At The Bar at BLACK BAND, we’ve entered a bold new chapter in our culinary journey—one rooted in collaboration, fueled by creativity, and grounded in sustainability. We've long built our menus with the support of local farming co-ops, and now, we've extended that same cooperative spirit inward—into the heart of our kitchen.
Led with vision and passion by our Executive Chef, Lily, our culinary program has evolved into what we proudly call Our Creative, Culinary Cooperative. This is more than just a philosophy—it’s a way of working, a way of thinking, and most importantly, a way of growing together.
In our kitchen, every team member—regardless of title, age, or background—is invited to bring their full self to the table. Through mentorship, open collaboration, and shared learning, we tap into the unique talents, cultures, and stories that each person carries. We believe that food is a universal language, and when spoken together, it becomes richer, deeper, and more meaningful.
